How to Prepare a PDF Before Sharing or Submitting It
Use this checklist to create a tidy, readable PDF that is easier to share, review, print or submit.
Check page order
Review the document from beginning to end. Make sure pages are in the right sequence and remove accidental blank or duplicate pages.
Confirm page orientation
Rotate pages that appear sideways or upside down. Check the file again after saving.
Reduce file size carefully
If a portal or email has a size limit, compress the PDF and inspect small text, charts and images for quality loss.
Use a clear filename
Choose a short, descriptive filename that identifies the document without exposing unnecessary personal information.
Review the final PDF
Open the saved output in a PDF reader. Check all pages, text, images, page numbers and links. Do not rely only on the filename or a successful download.
